Reynolds County Health Center has completed its first Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic! We have given 100 doses to 100 of our citizens! Yesterday and today’s vaccine w...as Moderna. Our next scheduled Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic will be Monday, February 8th and Tuesday, February 9th. We are currently making appointments for those dates for citizens in Phase 1 Tier B; 65 years old or Adults with Preexisting Medical Conditions; Cancer, Respiratory, Heart Disease, Immunosuppressed conditions, Obesity greater than 40%. This vaccine we will be using next week is the Pfizer vaccine. We will be making your return appointment for the 2nd dose the day you receive your first dose of the vaccine. We also have the opportunity to host a Mass vaccination clinic with St.Francis Hospital, Cape Girardeau here in Reynolds County. We need 1,000 people to register before we can provide this clinic. A tentative date for this event is Saturday, February 27th. I have reached out to the Ellington Chamber of Commerce, Reynolds County local businesses and the larger employers of our county too, in hopes to bring a mass vaccination clinic to Reynolds County! We will have online registration for this event....when it’s available..More info to follow... This mass vaccination clinic will NOT be a Drive-thru! This event is for ALL Missouri citizens that want the vaccine and meet the criteria of the Phase and Tier at the time of the event. Southern Reynolds County RII in Ellington has made the decision to initiate virtual learning from November 11-December 1st. This virtual learning is due to Hig...h School students which tested positive for Covid-19. High School Parents have been notified to quarantine their high school students from last known dates of contact given. All close contacts have been notified or attempted to be notified by the Health Department addressing the need to quarantine. Due to the volume of students...IF the school or health department called you please please do what is ask of you! This is no surprise as our count is growing daily!! Please monitor your child and family for any signs or symptoms; cough, shortness of breath or muscle aches, loss of taste and or smell, headache, chest pain, diarrhea, rash... anything that is a change in condition of those in quarantine and self monitoring. 11/10/2020. UPDATE: Do to the significant changes we received today, we are posting an extra notice. We have received 16 new lab confirmed cases of Covid19 TODA...Y. We have over 200 contacts related to these positive cases. We are asking everyone to please observe and monitor for symptoms. Stay home if you experience any symptoms. Please call the Reynolds County Health Department if you believe you have been in close contact to someone with COVID 19. 573-648-2498 If you believe you are a close contact please quarantine for 14 days from your last day of contact with the positive person.
