Congratulations to our own Josh Devine who was appointed today by the Governor as the newest Circuit Judge for Boone County and Callaway County. We wish our good friend nothing but the best. https://themissouritimes.com/parson-appoints-joshua-c-devi/

We have wrestled with the tone of this post because we absolutely do not want it to appear that we are trying to profit from this crisis. But we must be frank, the bottom line is that this crisis is exactly why each and every one of you should have, at least, basic estate planning documents executed. As a service to our community, we are able to provide these most basic documents FOR FREE, and if you are interested in taking some additional planning steps, we can help you with those as well at a reduced rate while we get through this crisis together. Contact Jim Howard ([email protected]) or Katie Johnson ([email protected]) so we can help.

We are living in very strange times. For the vast majority of us, this is the first time a life-threatening crisis has come to our state, our towns, our neighborhoods. The road forward is very unclear. What we do in the next few weeks or months will have an impact on the rest of our lives, and the lives of our children, family, friends and our neighbors. The family of attorneys and staff at Rogers, Ehrhardt, Weber, & Howard, wish everyone the best of luck during these times. We encourage you all to heed the new stay-at-home orders issued by the City of Columbia and Boone County, and we wish a heartfelt thank you to all of those working on the front lines to both protect us from this terrible virus and keep us safe, comfortable, and fed.

The Missouri Supreme Court has just suspended all in-person court appearances through April 3, and the presiding judge of the Circuit Court of Boone County has done the same through April 17. Exceptions will be made for emergency criminal matters, abuse/neglect, guardianship, and a few others cases. Be safe and stay home if you can.
