I’m borrowing this timely message from Missouri Right to Life: Ask Your Pro-life Senators to Stand By Their Pro-life Convictions and Defund Abortion Providers A...fter the Missouri Senate passed the Federal Reimbursement Allowance bill, SB 1, last week with no pro-life protections, yesterday, the Missouri House Budget Committee advanced HB 2 that would protect Missouri tax payers from having their conscience rights violated by having to fund abortion providers. The Missouri Senate has said they want to prevent our tax dollars from going to fund abortion providers. When the House sends HB 2 to the Senate later today, the Senate will have the opportunity to vote to protect Missouri tax-payers and prevent public funding of abortions through the Medicaid program. Missouri Right to Life and all pro-life Missourians want to know if the Missouri Senate will stop funding Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars right now in this special session by voting to pass HB 2. It is crucial that you call your State Senators before noon today, Wednesday, June 30th and ask them to take up and pass HB 2 during this special session when it comes over from the House.

I wasn't thinking as I was getting ready to leave the hotel in Cape Girardeau to travel to Camdenton for the CRT presentation there tonight. Legislative Liaison... Jennifer Gore was at our State Capitol to attend the hearing on HB2 and SB1 today. I was planning to listen to it but didn't post the info for others to tune in. Rep. Nick Schroer made a terrrific presentation on his bill and answered the questions of the Dems and Republicans alike with excellence. Thank you to Rep. Sara Walsh and Rep. Hannah Kelly, Rep. Dirk Deaton and Rep. Ed Lewis for your participation in the process. These are the ones I remember anyway, I was driving. Thank you, Sam Lee (Campaign Life Missouri) and Susan Klein (MRL) Don Hinkle (Missouri Baptist Convention) and Jennifer Gore (she turned testimony in favor of HB2 on line so didn't do it at the witness desk) But the HERO of the day is Rep. Doug Richey. I am going to ask Rep. Richey to send me the link of the audio of his engagement with one of the opponents who had made the claim that our medical system in Missouri was inherently racist... Thank you, Chairman Cody Smith for conducting the hearing with such professionalism and graciousness.

These bills were heard today to reform the Initiative Petition process-making it more Citizen Initiated. A four and one half hour hearing in the House. Thank ...you Rep. Shaul (Shaul is the Chairman of the House Elections Committee even though he got several promotions during the committee hearing) and all the members of the committee who heard the proposed changes, commented, offered suggestions, etc. A big thank you to our Sec. of State Jay Ashcroft for his input in all that is bring proposed. The people of Missouri want integrity in the elections. See more

It's Black History Month and you know what that means. Democrats parading themselves around and proclaiming how "anti-racist" they are, while also telling everyone on social media how important it is to celebrate Black History Month. You know what, I bet you they'll forget the fact that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, and they'll ignore the fact that the first Black members of Congress were Republican.... It wasn't even just a few of them, it was 23 of them. The first 23 Black members of congress were Republicans. Democrats of the 1800's and 1900's were the ones that suppressed Black voters while using violence to make sure they never ran for office again. The only thing that has changed since then, is that Democrats have gotten better at ignoring history while lying about "free" things in the form of handouts that end up hurting the Black Community in the long run. Republicans are a party of kindness, of action, but also of honesty and we won't stand by while others hide the facts about Black History in this Nation. Help us spread the truth.
