Read It Again Books

Someone came in this week looking for "Flowers for Algernon". It just came in!

So, I'm getting the last load from a storage unit. The man made several trips to unload the back of his truck. And of course, we are in the middle of rearranging shelves and moving and putting books on the shelves. Looks like a lot of SCI/FI FANTASY!!! Mostly paperback, some hardbacks but I still have boxes to go through. Lots of mystery and horror paperbacks too! Also I have a lot of empty medium size boxes - PLEASE pick some up!!!

I'm going through a cookbook from 1927 and here is the recipe for American Chicken Chop Suey 2 cups cold chicken 1 cup cooked celery 1 1/2 cups cooked rice... 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon Crisco 2 tablespoons flour 1 1/2 cups chicken stock Cut chicken and celery in thin strips before measuring, Mix them with the rice salt and pepper. Melt Crisco, add flour and mix well. Add stock slowly and bring to the boiling point, stirring constantly. Add the chicken mixture and hear throughly. One cup of cooked mushrooms may be added.
