Today we want to send out a big Happy Birthday to Miss Elaine. For her birthday we spent the morning playing bingo and she made away pretty well even winning our blackout jackpot We hope your special day was as wonderful as you are Elaine

We did a thing tonight . A thing to when you were younger, your parents were going away for the night or weekend. So you use the phrase if the cats away the mice would play. You have all your friends over for a party. Trying to squeeze everyone into the Party House. Hoping your parents don’t come home earlierespecially hoping they didn’t know you got into the good liquor. How would they know you were tipping it. Just refill it with ice tea, hoping you escaped from ...being caught and got away with having the best party in town. Oh these residents knew what I was talking about. Laughing shaking their heads yes, telling a little bit of how it went down when their parents found out. Even though our party wasn’t like back when being young, it still was the best party house. Residents at Ravenwood Terrace had a pizza party, with milkshakes and playing bingo while enjoying their meal. Resident that don’t care about bingo or never played before, really enjoyed themselves. It gave a new meaning to what a wild party! It was so much fun tonight! Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter or hearing the word BINGO being yelled out. Theresa D., started out being the first winner to get the games started, Erma J., was our Black out winner. When you watch the residents doing ball drum and finally see an empty seatya just can’t help yourself, but grab it and join in. Plus it was Darlene’s first time, she was getting a kick out of it. Ravenwood Terrace residents look forward to the ball drums each week. May have to have a drum off between the residents and staff

Today our ladies kept really busy. First we started out our morning getting our nails done and a few ladies also got their hair done by our beautician And my goodness they look Gorgeous After they enjoyed their steak lunch and chocolate cake we decided we better get to exercising, A big Thank you to our dietary manger Vada for leading exercises today By the time late afternoon rolled around many of our ladies decided to take a nap after a busy day, and some decided to color to relax. Thanks for always having a good time with me ladies, I enjoy each and everyone of you

January 21, 2021...the day that Ravenwood Terrace residents and staff took the first step at getting vaccinated with the Covid vaccine shot. Jessica Bankhead-Administrator was our first vaccine participant. The residents were so ready and must say very excited to have a needle stick. The residents were all smiles and laughter with a lot of teasing the Dr., whom was giving the shot... I do believe he loved every bet of it. It made his job easier. Couple residents needed... to hold staff members hand, one just wanted to let out a yelp for fun, but the best one...she wanted a drink of Jack Daniels. When we do the second round we will have suckers for the residents and staff. Maybe Jack Daniels, I don’t know, will wait and see . This is a true beginning to getting back to a normal life. Thanks to the families for being behind this with your loved ones. The staff for staying with the residents, ensuring them they will be fine. A special thanks to the Dr and nurse that made it fun and painless. You both were great! Some residents and staff chose not to have their picture taken...we like to honor their request.

Today we received our first round of our Covid Vaccines! Staff and Residents did so well. Thank you to the wonderful people who came to administer our shots, we didn’t feel a thing! #vaccinatedagainstcovid19

Halloween is tomorrow, so Ravenwood Terrace administrator Jessica (hot mess) and TMC therapist Josh (sumo wrestler) came to entertain the residents with a little of their humor. What a laugh and little fun. Hot mess (Jess) passed out candy or an item of their choice to each resident. We love to her the residents laugh...

Ravenwood terrace campus had an awesome day. Not only were we visited by The wizard of Oz characters,Snow White and her seven dwarfs also made an appearance on the campus with another sighting of a second witch. As they entered the build they were so busy making sure the residents were going to enjoy an nice spread that snow and her handy dandy seven dwarfs cooked up, but we made sure that the witch was not going to put before us the bad apple. Snow White (Georgi) wants to thank her seven dwarfs DOC (Krystal), GRUMPY (Joann), DOPEY (Becca), SNEZZY (Shelby), SLEEPY (Kenzie) , HAPPY (Rayvon), BASHFUL (Katelynn) and of course The WITCH (Vada)

Well we made it to Transylvania, Romanian today to celebrate a little bit of Halloween. Ravenwood Terrace residents and staff still have a lot of kid in us, so why not check out a few ghost and goblins. We didn’t fine so much of scary things or ghosts, but there was a witch that wondered around...no harm was done but we sure did keep our eye peeled. The residents couldn’t believe where our flight landed...right in the middle of Oz land. As we exit the plane we were seated... at a fine restaurant and guess who appeared? The Wizard (Jess), Dorothy-Toto (Kat), Wicket Witch (Jo Ann), Good Witch (Sabrina), Tin Man (Silvia), Lion (Barb), Scarecrow (Sherry)...oh we can’t forget Bailey who kept the fort down. The residents got to enjoyed a little skit from the show Wizard of Oz. We got a lot of chuckles and laughs, but the best part was the residents loved it. I do believe we will here them talk for a few days about our adventure. Brought back many memories as when they watch the show as a child and/or when they watched it with their children. As the show ended the residents were ready to enjoy a meal that Transylvania is know for. It consists of Snapple, egg of choice, deep fried zucchini, sour dough bread. The dessert was Romanian apple pie. What is Snapple you ask. It’s a sausage cooked with corn meal, pepper and sweeten condense milk. Refrigerate over night...when ready to eat slice and fried. Your choice of egg is laid on top. The residents loved it...it was a little scary at first watching them take their first bite, but when the smile appeared and could hear the yum...we knew this trip was a success. Although the weather dampen our out side plans last week and this week. It looks like next week the weather will permit us to have our fall/October-November Fest. Hayride, games, music and hotdog roast plus the famous s’mores. So please pray for good warm weather. Would like to thank all the staff that helped pull this off. See more

We just had an all American meal. Hugo T., resident at Ravenwood Terrace chose cheese hamburgers, French fries, cottage cheese and for dessert, cherry pie as his WOW meal for the month of October. Who doesn’t like a good old hamburger with all the fixings. There was no complaint, for all the residents were very pleased.

Ravenwood Terrace residents enjoyed a little Sunday funday afternoon. We had white pumpkins, old finger nail polish and paint/polished the pumpkins. Each resident chose a few colors, dripped the polish in the container of water. Then they took their pumpkin and dipped into the water. The pumpkins came out looking very colorful. Didn’t get much color on the top as we would of liked, but next time we know to use a bigger container. Live and learn...still was fun.

Ravenwood Terrace resident-Charles celebrated his birthday today. He was treated with his favorite dessert...which was anything strawberry. So, it was strawberry cobbler. His wife Sandra and the other residents agreed that it was a good choice. Happy Birthday Charles!

Today was Bling my ride. Residents at Ravenwood Terrace cleaned and blinged there walkers with little rhinestones, ribbon and colorful designed duck tape. Residents had so much fun as well as the staff getting involved.

Today the ladies and I worked on some more Fall decorations for the facility I tell you these wonderful women have an eye for creativity, the hay bales they decorated today were absolutely beautiful and they make the Facility look so wonderful! I can’t wait for the next craft activity ladies

After getting your belly full what sounds better then stimulating your mind with some sudoku, crosswords or a find a word Thanks for the good time ladies
