Race for the Rivers

This is very good information. The Race for the Rivers crew is in contact with all of the barge captains operating on the river during the race and the safety boats are all able to communicate with them and with the control center. We will tell you where to look for them during the safety meeting. Fortunately for us, many of the captains and companies have pulled to shore or changed their plan during the hours of the race. We are so appreciative of their understanding and assistance.

We were pared down and spread out but it was a great day never the less. Thanks to all the great volunteers, radio crew, safety boat captains and racers for working with us to figure out this crazy year.

Glow sticks are usually available in most sporting goods sections and in many of the dollar and party stores. Because of the complications with covid, if you cannot find the traditional sort we will accept the necklace or bracelet style that may be easier to find.

Gear Check! Remember to pack all required gear and plenty of water/food for race day - there will be no vendors this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
