Quicksilver Express Courier remembers our troops this Memorial Day, and offers our sincere appreciation for their service.

Quicksilver would like to extend big congratulations to our Vice President, Lisa Cartagena, on celebrating her 23rd anniversary here at Quicksilver! Like the majority of us, Lisa began as a driver. After completing her interview, she went outside to find her car would not start. Figuring this would be the end to her career at Quicksilver, she went back in to ask for a jump. The HR manager gave her a jump and cheerfully said, We will see you tomorrow! And, as they say, the r...est is history. After driving, she became a dispatcher in our Denver office. With her dedication and determination, she was promoted to Operations Manager and excelled. When the decision was made to expand to Arizona, Lisa was sent to Phoenix to help open that branch. She was the General Manager of Phoenix for 12 years and successfully grew their operation into one of Quicksilver’s largest locations. Last year she made the move back to Denver. She is now overseeing all of Quicksilver’s locations. Quicksilver is better because of her and we are thankful she didn’t let a dead battery get her down!

Happy International Women’s Day! Quicksilver is unique in the transportation industry as over 50% of our owner/managers are women! In celebration of International Women’s Day and to encourage even more women to join our team we’re excited to announce that we will be offering 12 weeks PAID maternity leave!... We are the only local transportation company to offer 12 weeks paid maternity leave, now that’s something to be proud of!

Quicksilver Express Courier would like to wish Kevin KBob a very happy work anniversary! KBob has been with Quicksilver for 32 years and works in our Minnesota location. KBob started his career at Quicksilver as a courier delivery driver, and quickly made his way into the operations center as a dispatcher. For the last 20+ years he has been a 2nd shift dispatcher. General Manager Rob says that KBob is a HUGE part of the Minnesota operation and enjoys what he does. KBob is e...xtremely funny and witty. These qualities provide him the ability to make the best of any situation. KBob always has a great attitude! He loves the people that he works with, and the flexibility that working for Quicksilver offers. Here are a few more things that General Manager Rob shared: KBob works out a lot and used to run miles upon miles per day. He is known to eat the hottest peppers or anything else hot he can find. Many times, he has been red in the face, beginning to sweat, but always asks for more. KBob is also a Green Bay Packers fan, and he enjoys poking fun at the Minnesota Viking and their fans. Quicksilver knows that people are and will always be our greatest asset. We would like to thank KBob for his dedication to our company and his large contribution to our continued success! Here is to many more years!
