We ask that when you arrive, you wait in your car and call us at 816-454-7422 to inform us of your arrival. We will then call you back when we are able to bring you to your room. We will ask you a few health related questions and take your temperature before taking you back. Please be advised-there may be some additional wait times due to the check-in process. Hello everyone. I hope you have all stayed safe and healthy. A retiree once described that life is like 6 Saturdays and then a Sunday. Cathy and I got a foretaste of that the last 6 weeks, except for the Sundays. You can’t even go to church on Sunday. Well, we’re ready and anxious to get back to work! We will resume office hours on Monday, May the 4th. Our staff will be ready to field your calls to schedule your next appointment. As you might expect, we have instituted a few... changes. Our goal is to make your visit as safe as possible for yourself and our staff. Prior to your appointment, you will get a pre-visit screening questionnaire. These questions will be revisited at the day of your visit along with having your temperature taken. Our office will practice social distancing guidelines where possible. Upon arriving at our office, we ask that you call or text us to let us know you are in the parking lot. Please remain in your vehicle until we are ready to seat you. Always bring a mask and gloves along with a pen at all your appointments. Our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment {PPE) at all times to insure everyone’s safety. If you have any questions or concerns about your safety at your visit, give us a call and we will be happy to discuss our safety protocols. I want to thank you again for your confidence and support.

I hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy and safe. The last two weeks have been a challenge for all of us. We all want to do our part to Flatten the Curve and beat this unseen adversary. I have faith that this too will pass. We will remain in compliance with the recommendation of the ADA to limit patient contact to emergency procedures for the remainder of April until the threat of danger has subsided. We will reassess the situation again at that time. Some of you hav...e seen me during this Shelter in Place directive for urgent and emergency services. I want to assure you that I remain available to you while this order is in place. Some have hesitated to call because they are uncertain whether they have a real emergency. I want you to know that it is no bother and consider it a real privilege to serve you. Remember to call on those who may feel even more isolated at this time. Reach out with FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or whatever app you like. Video chats have been the next best thing to being with our loved ones. We take your smile to heart! That has been our mantra, our pledge to you. We are living through unprecedented times, a different kind of March Madness. As COVID-19, Coronavirus, has gripped our nation in fear and isolation, we want you to know that your health and well-being is our utmost concern. We are complying with the American Dental Association’s recommendation of postponing elective procedures for 3 weeks. These include, routine care, dental fillings and other rest...orative work. We will reassess the climate after that time and hope to re-open on Monday, the 6th of April. We will do our best to update you at that time. If you have an appointment during this time, we apologize for the inconvenience. I will remain available to provide emergency palliative care to all our patients. In times like these, we have the opportunity to rise above, to choose love over hate, reason over panic, compassion over uncaring. We have the responsibility to behave with civility and look out for those who may struggle during these times of social distancing.
