Watch out for power lines. A close call up north.

The nursing home was running low on supplies and the ones that they have ordered have not come in yet so the fire departments each chipped in a bottle of hand sanitizer. Yes that's hand sanitizer not vodka, and we also were able to come up with some extra n95 masks.

What if? What if it happens in Schuyler County? How many have asked that question? Here is what we know...... Fire Departments, Ambulance, Sheriff, and Health Department have been meeting on a weekly basis, for now, and there is a contingency plan in place. Ambulance Services DO have proper PPE to wear when dealing with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patient. Fire personnel who might respond to assist have been selected from each department, and also have proper PPE. The State Emergency Management Agency is diligently working on supplying us with more. The Sheriff dept and Health Dept are also doing their parts of the plan. The emergency services of Schuyler County are preparing every day to deal with the situation. All we ask is that you, our citizens, do your part by social distancing, washing your hands, and above all , if you need us, call. We will be there for you.......
