Sharp said "no one will own up to" the most recent incident of major damage with sheared-off bolts. Gates: "Do you need anything else out of me?" Justin Smith: "A better price." Sharp reported that road workers are already repairing Rosette Road. Sharp: "There were already out there before she came in here." Commissioners have adjourned.

Live blog of the Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport Board. #PulaskiCountyMo #SaintRobertMo #WaynesvilleMo Members present include Sean Avery Wilson, Bill Farnham and Randy Becht, Meeting is via Zoom for many attendees, including George Lauritson, Carola Prewett, Matthew Chaifetz, Ryan Lorton, Erin Younkin, Robert W Crain from Burns McDonnell. The airport operations manager reported that fuel sales were up, even with the runway being closed for a week. He said there were ...about 300 emplanements last month. Contour Airlines representative Matthew Chaifetz: "Maybe next month if I shave I'll be willing to turn the video on." Chaifetz said there's been an increase in passengers. "I still think there is a bigger issue that needs to be addressed at a higher level, but everyone is doing their part in response to the lower fare that we dropped." Plane passenger count: January 219 emplanements, 312 deplanements February 321/234 March 380/251 April 81/18 May 95/17 June 315/104 July 284/154 August 310/195 September 299/226 "October is obviously going to be lower because of the closure but I hope that we're going to see progress in November." Lauritson said he hopes that the new U.S. Army Fort Leonard Wood general order making it possible for military personnel to travel longer distances will increase the number of air passengers. Erin Younkin reported on Sustainable Ozarks Partnership marketing. The St. Louis airport won't have marketing money for the coming year but expects the money to return for fiscal year 2022. "We are excited that the installation is now opened up to taxi service... we just hope we rebound from the pandemic and see passenger numbers return." Younkin said she expects more passengers when graduations open up again. The parallel taxiway project is complete and final invoice received. Next meeting set for 3 p.m. Nov. 24 in St. Robert. Board members are discussing three options for a de-icer truck. Lauritson: "Our winters are so sporadic; how often do we have to use one?" Staff reported that for larger aircraft de-icers are essential or aircraft can't fly. Some staff said if the conditions are bad enough that de-icing is necessary, non-scheduled airlines other than Contour will land at Springfield rather than Fort Leonard Wood due to the longer runway. The airport operations manager complimented Willard Asphalt Paving Inc on its construction work on the new parallel taxiway. "I've never seen anything get done on schedule, that fast." Meeting adjourned.
