Making your cardio sessions count! All too often over my years as a trainer, I have seen cardio workouts done WAY too laid back. Whether you are doing strictly cardio for your fitness or as a workout in between resistance training sessions you still have to make it a challenge! This can be done at any level from a beginner to a professional athlete. If you are just taking it easy on a treadmill, elliptical, or bike and not feeling challenged you are drastically shortchanging ...yourself with regard to results. Intensify this by increasing rpm's, resistance, and occasional interval burnouts. If you go for a walk, walk fast, make it feel like you are actually working out.
