Well it looks like the production crews in Egypt are back to work. A fine job by all involved in this beautifully created ceremony.

I feel pretty confident saying that there will be people lining up to fill these positions when the time is right. Intermission is almost over.

To some; this won't mean a thing. To some others; it means everything. It might even give you goosebumps. It's not always this calm, cool, and collected at t...he top of the show. Wow! Check this out. A practically empty space, (other than the hundreds of lighting fixtures), minimal scenery, and lots of haze. Imagine the amount of programming time invested in this demonstration. Enjoy.

Sad news to relay out of NYC. A Broadway Legend has passed on at 89 years old. Artie Siccardi worked on over 200 Broadway shows in his lifetime, not counting ...tours. In one decade he had 89 shows play "The Great White Way". Read this "In Memoriam" article about a man who started out as a Pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, was there at the beginning of automated scenery, and help train two generations of theater technicians. He worked on the original productions of "Gypsy", "A Chorus Line", "Cats", Sunset Boulevard", and many, many more. He never got to pitch in the Major League, but he was Big League all the way. He holds records that will never be broken. See more

I am truly lucky to know each one of you; family members, friends, professional colleagues, and classmates. It's been a tough year for all of us, but I am very thankful to still be in the game, earning my place on this planet daily. None of us is guaranteed tomorrow. Let your loved ones know how you feel about them now, and do your best to get along with those you may not agree with. You only go around once in life; and if you do it right, once is enough. St. Louis Facebook friends and family; take a break and tune in to KETC Channel Nine tonight at 7:00 PM. Hear Broadway classics and Opera favorites from three... singers from Opera Theater of St. Louis. It was recorded in a Covid-19 compliant manner outdoors on the beautiful Public Media Commons about a month ago. I designed the lighting, and our company, Production Support Services provided the equipment and labor. It was produced by Patrick Murphy, and directed by Brian Holder. We can all use some live entertainment these days, and this show will bring joy to many as these great singers perform some show business favorites.
