Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church will reopen Sunday, June 7, 2020 for regularly scheduled services. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed. Everyone will be asked to wear masks during the daily services and or while in the church. Masks will be provided where needed. From Pastor Tommy Williams: Good evening Brothers and Sisters in Christ and to those who are not a part of the body of Christ. It is important that we understand in our elections, that not to vote, is to vote. It’s the same when it comes to choosing Christ or Satan, not to vote, is to vote, and not to choose, is to choose. ... Each and every one of us has to decide what we are going to do with Jesus Christ. If God is the one who gave you your life, who cares for you and never leaves you, always watching over you and protecting you, choose Christ. If it’s Satan who has been good to you, if Satan gave you your life and if it’s Satan who has allowed you to sleep at night, watched over you and protected you, choose him. Have you made a decision or are you still sitting on the fence? As the Bible says you should choose this day whom you will serve. You have to choose, and you should do it before it's everlasting too late! Choose you this day whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15

Pastor Williams suggested the blue awnings. He quoted HAGAI 1:3-5 3) Then the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai: 4) Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin? 5) Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: Give careful thought to your ways.... Commentary: There seems to be time enough for you to enjoy the luxuries of life, but not time for you to rebuild the temple of the Lord; time enough for you to get rich, but not time for you to serve God; time enough for you to spend your labour upon anything for yourself, but not upon the house of your God! What a rebuke this was to those who professed to be the Lord’s people!

The Lord has a way of giving you a new assignment, another position, a new position. Remember He is always watching. When God elevates you, thank Him for trusting in you and do the very best you can in your new assignment.... Galatians 6:9 (ESV) 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: Here are 3 topics of our Adult Sunday School Seminars: COMMITMENT to GOD, PRIDE, and GUILT. Taught every Sunday Morning, the selected seminar will last up to 5 consecutive weeks. We stopped using the traditional Sunday School books in 2015. We determined we needed more.... The Seminars get everyone involved, they are very interesting topics and we learn so much. Sometimes we barely get through a couple of pages before time is up. It never fails in that there is always a time for us to apply what we just learned if not the same day we studied the topic, it will be applied some time during the week. That's how quickly the Lord confirms our Holy Spirit driven teaching method, the learning, scripture validation and the testimonies that take place. Sometimes our Pastor teaches as all of the topics are selected and/or approved by him. Basically the lesson is taught by one of the regular teachers. Each topic takes about 2 months to research, study and prepare the seminar. Each seminar has from 5 - 8 chapters and/or study topics. Some of the other seminars are: ATTRIBUTES OF GOD, FEAR & INTIMIDATION, ANGER, PRAYER, JEALOUSY, THE HOLY SPIRIT, STRONGHOLDS, just to name a few. (All seminar studies and/or lessons are based on scripture, well known authenticated commentaries, sermons of well known Preachers and Scholars, both past and present and more) Please join us. Hosea 4:6 says ...my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests. We (PRMBC) don't want to be like the churches in Revelations and hear God say: To the angel of the church " Yet I hold this against you: You didn't educate my people. At PRMBC, between our Sunday School, Bible Study and Sunday morning messages, we are getting a thorough biblical education. The table is set, all we have to do is attend and eat.

Our Youth are definitely posing, grinning and proud. They did a fantastic job with their speeches for their Christmas Program. They were loud and the teachers were very proud.

Jesus Pursues Us Jesus relentlessly pursues until God’s love shines through. He relentlessly pursues to encourage us to do what we should do. He relentlessly pursues even when we put up a fuss....
