Tips to improve your 3pt dumbbell row! . #1 Set yourself up in a strong and stable position before initiating movement. Make sure your core is braced, your spine is neutral and you pull your shoulder back to begin the row. . #2 Instead of driving your elbow back as far as you can, think about pulling your elbow just slightly past your rib cage and bringing your wrist towards your hip. This will help to keep your elbow bent at 90 and recruit more of your upper back than yo...ur bicep. . #3 Control the entire movement! Stay strong and stable as you row the dumbbell back and as you lower it back down after each rep. . . #libertymo #kcmo #pridefitness #trainingtips #fuctionaltraining #functionalfitness #personaltraining #dumbbellrows See more

Improve your overhead press! . One common mistake we see with overhead pressing is pushing the weight up and away from the body. . By doing so, your stance is unstable, your core is not probably engaged and you are putting a lot of unnecessary stress on your shoulders and low back.... . Ideally, we want to see the full range of motion. Meaning, pressing the bar completely overhead. . Your neck should retract when you’re pushing up to help the bar move in the straightest line possible. Then you will extend your neck through your arms to allow you to push through the whole range of motion. Think arms in line with your ears at the top. . Make sure to stabilize, keep your core and glutes engaged through the whole movement and control the weight back down to your chest after each rep. . . . #overheadpress #personaltraining #tnesstips #libertymo #kcmo #fuctionalfitness See more

Want to increase your sprint speed? 60 yard sprint, 40 yard dash, or on field speed... increase your standing triple jump. Here’s why: . I’ve studied metrics ran on thousands of athletes and the data shows as athletes increase their standing triple jump distance on each side, their metrics in testing events (such as sprints and jumps) goes up 90+% of the time. This isn’t luck, it’s data. This comes with many different reasons... . One is simply a sprint is a repetitive strike... by one leg repetitively, which the standing triple jump requires. Develop unilateral power with unilateral plyometrics exercises and incorporating more unilateral strength exercises with your ability to efficiently move heavy weights for speed and you will increase your on field speed. I’m thinking about making the standing triple jump a challenge for the leaderboard Who would win... See more
