Teens who use nicotine, alcohol, and marijuana could have less gray matter in two brain areas when they become adults. This might reduce those areas’ ability to function in a healthy way. Read more about how drug use can affect the brain: https://loom.ly/UgVJ2_8 #NIDAteens

After nearly three years at the Southeast Prevention Resource Center, Josh will be leaving to pursue other employment. Today is his last day at the PRC and we sincerely thank him for all his hard work and effort! The following is from Josh himself: -------------------------------------... Hi, everyone! It has been an honor working at the PRC these past few years. To my colleagues, you’re the best. Thank you for the work, the laughs and the camaraderie (and letting me control the radio on road trips). I consider you not just coworkers but friends. Through the PRC I was very privileged to work with so many great people in our Service Area 21 communities. The coalitions, the law enforcement agencies, the pharmacies and health departments, and especially the schools. For those that do not know, I was previously a high school teacher and coach and being back in the classrooms discussing prevention with students was right at home for me. I thank you all for welcoming me to help spread the message of substance misuse prevention. What we do is important and #preventionworks. Take care and best wishes! Josh
