SEED/AGRONOMY/WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEE This is a seasonal part-time position with Prairie View Seed, an independent Pioneer Sales Agency located in Elsberry, Missouri. Employee is needed to assist during planting season. Estimated timeframe is April mid July with approximately 24-40 hrs. week. If desired, additional part-time employment may be possible in the fall and winter seasons. JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking an employee to help with general labor duties entailed at an agronomy se...ed and service agency. Preferred person with agriculture background, valid driver’s license and knowledge or ability to learn to operate a forklift and to pull seed tenders, trailers, etc. Employee must have clean driving record. JOB DUTIES Operate forklift to move seed around in warehouse and for loading/unloading seed from trucks, seed tenders, and/or trailers Assist in delivery and returns of seed (company vehicle provided) Operate prescription seed treater (basic computer knowledge necessary) Accurately manage seed, pallet, and ProBox inventories Assist in planting seed plots General warehouse duties (sweep warehouse floor & apron, treater room, vacuuming conveyors, seed tenders, etc.) Miscellaneous office duties - organizing, filing, and general cleaning of office in down time Assist in putting up Pioneer field signs through sales territory. Organize/stack returned pallets & empty Proboxes Help with early season stand counts and evaluations for test plots Able to maintain warehouse operations by yourself when needed General maintenance & small assembly projects around warehouse EXPECTATIONS Available to work some Saturdays (if needed) Ability to do heavy lifting, loading, and bending (40-60 pounds) Agriculture experience preferred Good time management skills Good oral and written communication skills Good customer services skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Mechanical ability (Preferred) Forklift experience (Preferred) PLEASE CONTACT SHANNON CLABORN WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND TO REQUEST A JOB APPLICATION.
