Just want to give a heads up to all of the Motorcyclists out there. I had yet another customer bring a tire purchased off of the internet to save some some money. as i inspected what he had purchased and to mount and balanced, I looked at the date code on the tire. tire was brand new, yes.....BUT it was brand new 7 years ago. ive seen this several times with internet tires. Which i cannot mount for you, not only because of the liabilty but it is absolutely unsafe, a 7 year ol...d belted bias tire is so extremely dry and hard it should not be rode on. riding is a risk with innatentive drivers, road debris, animals. dont let a couple of bucks on a tire be the thing that gets you hurt As a tip and reminder, 5 years is the oldest age of tire you should have on any motorcycle, if they have perfect tread, still replace them as they are unsafe. Yes you might be able to save 40 bucks on a tire, but thats because it is no longer any good or able to use. Also just like any vehicle, motorcycle tires have a speed and weight rating, if you are on a large dresser, make sure the tire you are purchasing is rated to carry the load you are riding with.
