"A smart, integrated national freight network...would revitalize the heartland of the U.S. with a range of green maritime transportation hubs." Interesting article, exactly the type of work we are pursuing with Missouri River Terminal and new maritime tech. https://www.forbes.com//americas-forgotten-marine-highwa/

This is incredible news for Kansas City and Berkley Riverfront! A hugely important step in connecting all of downtown and will allow us to build a dense, walkable neighborhood on the riverfront. And, a big boost to our work of building an accessible, mixed-use and mixed-income development and park. This is a huge team effort and there is more to do! KC Streetcar, the City of KCMO, our Congressional delegation and more.

Imagine following these wind turbines down the road instead. All the modes of transportation must work together for a successful network. One advantage of barges - tugs can safely carry huge tows down the river. This is the "Big Eddie."

Unfortunately, Friends of the River KC had to halt planning and cancel KCRiverFest due to the pandemic. We thank them for their hard work and know when they can come back, the event will be better than ever. In the meantime, Visit KC has a list of alternate ways to celebrate. Fingers crossed to see you at the riverfront next year! https://www.visitkc.com//everything-you-need-know-about-fo

We heard many of you saw this vessel off Berkley Riverfront earlier in the summer. The flooding last year, in addition to what you could see above the river, changed the land below. This year, the Army Corps came in to repair the levee and deepen the channel back to a 9-foot depth. The Army Corps maintains the river, and they guarantee a minimum channel depth of 9 feet. This allows us to give our customers increased security that we'll be able to ship their goods via the river. https://www.marshallnews.com/story/2818241.html
