Our crews have been doing some awesome tile work this week! Picking out a new tile for your pool is one of the best ways to customize it and show some personality, and we're loving these customers' choices!

The break in the winter weather came just in time for our all staff meeting and trailer training yesterday! Those with first quarter work anniversaries got to spin our prize wheel, we had some tool training, and then set off to a local park to practice trailer driving and safety. Our crews are back hard at work in the pools today enjoying the warmer weather.

This morning we spent some time together as a team in place of our usual holiday party. We celebrated everyone’s hard work and recognized several employees with awards for going above and beyond! We also hit another goal for work completed, which brought the reward of seeing our Project Manager, Coulter, pied. Thanks for the laughs, Coulter! Octobers Employee of the Month goes to Mr. Caleb Martin! Caleb started at MAPR this past March right as our busy season started to kick off. Since then, there has been nothing but hustle as we approach another record-breaking year on the books. Caleb has not only been able to keep up the pace as he learns the ropes with our INTER-GLASS crew, but has stepped up when he was needed most. Taking the initiative to keep the crew up and running when one of our Crew Chiefs was temporarily out of commission was a huge help to all. In Caleb’s short time at MAPR he has demonstrated a willingness to step up to any task, making himself a reliable team member. We look forward to watching you take your roll to the next level with all of us at MAPR.

This week was MAPRs 2nd Annual Spirit Week for Halloween! This year was loaded with scavenger hunts, costume contests and other spooky shenanigans. Here are some of our favorite highlights from this weeks mischief. What are your costumes and shenanigans for this Halloween?!

Septembers grind has not gone unrecognized as we are still working full steam into fall. Our Employee of the Month for September goes to Mr. Larry Rooney! Larry has been with MAPR for a year now, earnestly making himself available wherever an extra hand is needed and learning as much as possible about the pool industry. He has the ability to juggle several difficult tasks while being a great sport and maintaining a positive attitude, always ensuring others with his motto we’ll get it done. Larry’s upbeat and supportive behavior easily comes contagious to his peers, making himself team member that others can rely on for a good laugh or assistance regardless of the task or what is needed. We are grateful for your help and support while we continue to hustle!

#tbt One year ago we took on our biggest challenge yet when we crossed the Pacific to work at the Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Kapolei, Hawaii. The 30,000 square foot pool resurfacing project took place in 4 stages over 5 months. Our team was able to pull off this feat completing ahead of schedule with zero complaints. Each year brings new and challenging projects that push our team, make us grow, and keep us the best at what we do. Mahalo

Here’s a glimpse of the City of Breda renovation that’s underway. This is a unique project! After 50 years, the pool’s metal walls were deemed structurally unsafe, and a new pool was not in their budget. For this town of just under 500 residents the pool is a community staple so they sought out other options they could afford and decided on renovation. We’re now in the final stages of the forming for the new concrete walls that will make the pool one shell. We will then be applying our long-lasting INTER-GLASS surface as well as resurfacing the deck so the pool can continue to bring the community together for many years to come.
