I took advantage of the opportunity to colorize old photos for free using MyHeritage colorizing tool. This one of the church's Dedication Day from 1910 turned out very nice. Does anyone have any old photos of Pleasant Hill they would like to share with us? Angie, VP

Faith. Hope. Resilience. When I look at the church my family helped to build at Pleasant Hill back in 1910, I am reminded of the resiliency of the community to rebuild after the previous church was lost in a wind storm. A church that was erected in a short five months. And today, 110 years later, still stands. And also during that time span, our nation has seen many challenges. WWI, WWII, the Korean and Vietnam wars, the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, the Great Depression and ...the Great Recession. Some of those people that saw us through those trying times of our nation are laid to rest at Pleasant Hill. Today, our nation and the world, is faced with an unprecedented time in our history. It’s uncharted territory, no doubt. A reminder of an indiscriminate disease that knows no boundaries. However challenging it will be, it can be defeated. But the only way to do so is to unite, just as Americans have in the past in the times of trouble. If only those walls of the church could talk. We would learn so much about our history, but even more so of the resiliency of a people who united for the common good so that future generations could prosper. Friends and family, keep the faith. There is hope that comes from a resilient people. Please be safe, and be well. Be kind to one another. As this church is a reminder, we will see this through if we come together for the greater good. God bless. Angie Wagner VP of the Board of Pleasant Hill
