We are reaching the top of the hill with the weather this week. Sunshine & temps in low to mid 60s set up beautiful days Wed. and Thurs. Once we start the downhill, temps quickly fall back to the 40s on Fri. Rain moves in early Fri AM and lasts through the day.

Some members of the community dropped off some uplifing gifts and snacks for our officers today. Thank you so very much! You gave a much need boost to our day!

Showers and thunderstorms move through the area early Tuesday morning. Some storms may be strong with isolated severe storms possible in central MO. Temperatures take a nose dive relative to last weekend as highs sink to the mid to upper 50s for the remainder of the week.

At any rate, warm and breezy conditions are expected today with highs in the mid 70s with wind gusts 25 to 35 mph. Tonight a cold front, will move into the area bringing the chance for a few strong storms capable of wind gusts 40 to 50 mph as well as small hail. Temperatures behind the cold front on Tuesday will drop through the day with afternoon highs in the mid 40s to mid 50s. So, although we expect that the #DayShift will come in pretty quietly this morning, we just know come tomorrow morning they're going to walk in with that smirk on their face. You know the one! A little ground fog this morning but should shape up to a beautiful day.

We will be shutting down Main Street at 6pm between Broadway and Maple. Please remove all cars off Main Street. We will shut down Broadway from North 4th to Main at 6:30pm. Hwy 116 will be shut down from Perkins park to North 4th Street at 6:55.... Please clear the closed streets before 6pm. Signs have been posted.
