We said goodbye to Mary Ann Weaver, the matriarch of our company, last week. Mary Ann, along with her late husband, C.L. Bud Weaver, purchased Pioneer Material in 1970 and dedicated their lives to growing the family business. Mary Ann was tough and strong and brave, and she was our beloved leader for many years. She knew our business inside and out, and she kept us all on track, down to the last penny per screw. When Pioneer Material flooded back in 2011, we temporarily ope...rated our business out of Mary Ann’s horse barn. She poured her life into this company and she helped build the foundation we stand on today. We are thankful for the guidance she offered when she handed over the reins and we are grateful that she lived to see the day that the third generation of her family started working for Pioneer Material. She was proud of her family and proud of her life’s work. She loved Pioneer Material, and we’re blessed with the legacy she left behind. Cheers to Mary Ann Weaver, and a life full of purpose.
