In celebration of our 120 year anniversary, we’re highlighting some of our longtime employees who have made a difference throughout that history. One of those individuals is Ken Holland. Ken joined us in 1980. Having grown up in a small rural community and spending 10 years working for a large regional bank, he recognized the importance of a locally owned bank in meeting the financial needs of the local community. As he considered his move to Peoples Bank, he looked at the f...inancial strength of the bank, the stability of the bank and perhaps more importantly, the bank's commitment to staff and customers. During Ken's time with us, he was involved in all areas of the bank (including at times, shoveling the snow off the sidewalk) and, before retiring in 2009, he served as our President for 13 years and spent his final year as Vice Chairman of the board. He currently serves on our board of directors. "In my 40+ years, the bank has not wavered from its commitment of quality service to customers and providing leadership in the economic development of the communities being served," said Ken. "The bank also has a strong commitment to development and training of staff in an effort to create truly professional bankers." "Even after 12 years of retirement, I still miss the daily interaction with my bank family and the Peoples Bank customers," said Ken. We’re proud to have had 120 years full of amazing people like Ken.
