Please give us your feedback on a couple decisions we are thinking about. 1) Pickup/Dropoff Service for Lodgers. I recently visited DFW and found out that a lot of people use this kind of service when lodging their dogs. We are wondering if this service might be something that we could offer. One family member said, When you are going on vacation, and there are a million different things going on trying to get your family ready, it’s a huge convenience to not have to worr...y about getting your dogs to the facility, and just having them picked up and dropped off. I’d pay double what they charge for the convenience! 2) Water Features in one of the play yards. We struggle with this every year. We had wading pools and sprinkler toys the first 3 summers; but I hated to send dogs home messy. We only had a skeleton Grooming staff back then so we weren’t able to always bathe daycare dogs that weren’t on the schedule. Our Grooming staff has more than doubled since then, but that’s because they are extremely busy. One answer is to offer what we call a half bath to departing Lodging & Daycare dogs. A half bath is basically just a spray down to remove debris picked up from playing, and then just a towel dry before pickup. Others options are restricting the dog from the yard with the water play features, have clients schedule full baths ahead of time, or let the informed client choose to do a clean up at home. Or, just don’t have water features. 3) Luxury Suites. Some places have luxury suites. These have furniture, complete privacy, TV and radio, and other add-ons. I kind of feel that not a lot of our patrons wouldn’t be interested in upgrading to a more pampered stay, but I thought I’d see what people have to say. Customer Service and Improvement are two of our Core Values here at The Paw Spa, so we are always looking for ways to better serve our clients (both 2 and 4 legged), and also always searching for ways to get better at what we do and love.
