Radial Velocity Computing Joins With Pearson Software Consulting

Pearson Sofware Consulting is being merged into my new, Radial Velocity Computing (the name doesn't mean anything -- it was the name of a company in a Law & Order re-rerun and I thought it sounded cool, so I stole it). We are in the process of building a system based largely on COM Add-Ins for the Office family that is a universal data consumer, aggregator, and distrubor. You can pull your business data out an any data store, for a Notepad file, to an XML or JSON file, or SQ...L Server. You apply a series of rules that link data with certain values from specific data source to create completely new data objects, which can then be routed around the company and stored in any data store you want. We've done the proof of concept, so we know it will work, and we've done scale modelling to ensure it will scale up nicely. The architecture is designed to support user-written plug-ins (perhaps we'll bring in VBA) so the clients can write their own custoim configurations. Once the rule sets have been applied to create custom data objects, those data objects can then be sent across the workgroup or across the enterprise and stored in any type of data store you need. We've solve the major technical hurdles, but there are a thousand things left to do. Our goal is to keep it as simple to use as Excel, so you need not be a progrrammer to use it.
