Poplar Bluff Municipal Airport 28.11.2020

People often forget about the importance the airport has to our medical community. Both of these helos are medical transports and neither are based in Poplar Bluff. Both needed fuel today as they went about their individual lifesaving roles. It's important we are here to provide them fuel and services to keep them in the air.

We had two first today at the airport. We had the first ever Honda jet land at the airport for services. The other was one of our local businesses based at the airport took delivery of their new Piper Meridian pictured here at its first landing of its new home.

Looks like it is light sport day at the airport... at least until the Citation jet get here. This is a good reminder that aviation doesn't have to be expensive and yet one can still enjoy the thrill of aviation and the excitement of flight.

Today we had a couple T34 Mentors traveling from Texas to Ohio stop in for fuel. They were used from the 50ies through 80ies as trainers by the Air Force and Navy and used by several other countries as well. These two were used by Indonesia.

Classic 195 day at the airport. Always a treat to see the vintage aircraft pass through. These were manufactured between 1948 and around 1954.
