We Interrupt This Meeting... Friday, November 20, 2020 7:00 p.m. (CT) Presented by Todd Brand, PRP... The following devices - point of order, request for information, and parliamentary inquiry - are commonly misunderstood, mixed up, and perhaps under or overused at times. With the potential to bog down a meeting, the proper use of these devices can help members access better information, and in the long run, can allow for better and more efficient meetings. This workshop concludes with a brief practice session on handling these devices. https://netforum.avectra.com/eweb/shopping/shopping.aspx

Body of Knowledge Thursday, November 19, 2020 7:00 p.m. (CT) Presented by Margie Booker, PRP & Cynthia Mayo, PRP... NAP's educational offerings are developed in accordance with the NAP Body of Knowledge (BOK), a comprehensive document outlining eight categories, or domains, of knowledge, skills, and practical applications that individuals must know and demonstrate in parliamentary procedure. The BOK is designed to assist individuals in developing educational programs that provide the democratic processes and meets the principles of protection for the majority, the minority, individual members, and absentees both individually and collectively. This workshop will provide the template, references, and suggested activities for using the BOK congruently with RONRIB and RONR to design and implement workshops, forums, and academies for persons seeking membership in NAP or preparing to become a Registered Parliamentarian or a Professional Registered Parliamentarian. https://netforum.avectra.com/eweb/shopping/shopping.aspx

How to Navigate the New RP Credentialing System Monday, November 16, 2020 7:00 p.m. (CT) Presented by the Commission on Credentialing... The new RP Credentialing System is designed to assess the candidate in small incremental Steps with multiple Parts. The result is that it is very different from the legacy system. There is new terminology and new technology that will be explained in detail. The complexity that this approach makes necessary can be confusing to the new candidate. The goal of this webinar is to explain to the candidates and potential candidates exactly what the new process is, and to give them all the resources they need to access all of the information that will help then in being successful as they work to obtain the RP. https://netforum.avectra.com/eweb/shopping/shopping.aspx
