Thank you to all of my clients who booked in May! We were able to raise over $200 for Project Smile in conjunction with the Solmar Foundation. Here is a picture of my friend and fellow agent @erinecollins with the organizers of the non-profit. Our agency’s donations helped underserved families in the Cabo region receive food and other necessities. Thank you!

I forgot to post about the last day of school yesterday! Donuts for breakfast, corn dogs and a shake at the park with friends, and a basket of summer fun waiting when we returned home!

Flight delayed due to weather. There are some things you just can’t control when you are traveling. Even TAs aren’t immune to some bumps (usually due to airlines ). Three things you CAN control. 1. Book with a TA. If there are MAJOR problems we can help. 2. Get travel insurance. If you miss a connection or have a major delay, you have peace of mind that your costs are likely covered. 3. Your attitude. You can’t control the airlines or the weather, but you can control your response to the situation. Acknowledge when something is stressful or disappointing, but then move on and look forward to the next step.

I answered all calls and emails within an hour if not immediately yesterday. All of my time at work yesterday was spent helping my clients navigate this trying time. If you booked with Costco and tried to get advice, facts, or modify your vacation, you may have spent 3 hrs on hold before getting disconnected. I love me some Costco, but this is a perfect example of why it’s not a great idea to book your travel with them.

Congratulations Holland and Silas! Your honeymoon in beautiful Bali is BOOKED! These two are starting out in the Ubud region at a resort perched on a rice terrace. They will take in the local cuisine and culture with tours of local temples, rice terraces, and local markets and enjoy spa treatments surrounded by the beauty of the mountains. They will then transfer to Seminyak for some beach time. A traditional Balinese Kecak dance performance and dinner is a highlight of one of their evenings on the coast. I am so incredibly happy for my littlest sister and soon-to-be brother, and I am honored they allowed me to help them plan the trip of a lifetime to kick off their marriage!
