With deer season in full swing, the hot topic tends to turn towards CWD in our deer herd, and regulations regarding it! It’s been rumored that you will not be allowed to transport your harvested animal across county lines, to prevent the chance of spreading CWD! That is NOT the case! As of now you may transport the animal across county lines to your Taxidermist or processor without any problems! Also, we here at Ozark Mountain Taxidermy are an official CWD testing sight, and ...would be happy to test your deer for CWD free of charge! We would like to add though that during the main firearm portion of the season, if you are wanting your deer tested for CWD you take your deer to an MDC testing sight if we are not going to be mounting your deer! This is just to prevent longer wait times and congestion for customers! If you have any questions regarding these issues, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 573-783-4718!
