A wonderful way to end the first week of school! Today was OUE PTO Treat Day! We treated every student with an ice cream bar with their lunch and every teacher and staff member with cookies from Kyla’s Cakes n Bakes!

If you haven’t joined this group yet, please consider doing so! Our community has been amazingly generous in helping our teachers get this school started!

A few weeks ago we shared that we wanted to support teachers in any way we could, especially right now! Our plan was to wait until class lists had been posted and then create a post for teachers to add their wish lists! In the meantime, another group was started, Odessa Adopt-A-Teacher, and it really took off! It has been a wonderful group/page and many teachers have received very generous donations! If you would like to help out any of the teachers at OUE, I encourage you t...o... 1. Like the Odessa Adopt-A-Teacher page (sorry that it isn’t allowing me to link to that page! ) 2. Do a search on the page for OUE 3. Click on the post where OUE teachers have posted their wish list links! 4. Click on a wish list of any teacher you wish to help out! Items will be directly shipped to that teacher! OUE teachers, if you’d like to post your lists here, please feel free to do that as well! Thank you OUE families for your continued support to our schools!

OUE PTO welcomes back our teachers & staff today! We purchased a countertop ice machine for the teacher workroom and provided drinks and snacks to help get them through their first day back to work! We are excited about this school year! Things may look a little different than years past but we will still be behind the scenes showing our support and appreciation! Watch for flyers, emails & texts for information on how you can participate through fundraisers, donations & volunteering!

Happy Friday, OUE families! Just wanted to stop by and do a little update on things! PTO is working hard to keep things as normal as possible and make this a fun and good year for our kids and staff!... The first day of school is September 8! No open house this year, but be watching for more info about how the beginning of the year will look! PTO will also be publishing Amazon teacher wish lists on a post on this page, hopefully by the end of next week! Once we know who the kiddos’ teachers are, we’ll publish those lists so you can help out the teachers at OUE! We know that parents want to help but don’t always know the best way (especially this year! ), so we wanted parents and families to be able to still help with the expenses teachers and staff have to begin the school year! More info to come! Teachers, get your lists ready!

Virtual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! It’s BULLDOG SPIRIT DAY! Put on your Bulldog spirit wear or wear something red or black to show your school spirit and how proud you are to be a Bulldog! Send your teacher a picture of you wearing your OUE SPIRIT and let them know how much they are appreciated!... Don’t forget, if you want to show them your appreciation in other ways, many businesses will send virtual gift cards through email! Thank you, OUE, for everything you do for us each and every day!

Virtual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! Today is SPECIALS THURSDAY! Thank one of the very SPECIAL teachers that are in our child’s life on a daily basis! Take a picture, draw yourself or get creative in a different way and send it to one of our great Specials Team! You can DRAW (paint, color, sculpt), SING (or PLAY an instrument), READ, do some COMPUTER practice, or BE ACTIVE (play a game, do some exercises, take a walk, ride a bike) and then share it with the appropriat...e teacher! You can also post it on the @OUE Specials Team Facebook page! Thank you SPECIALS teachers for the variety you provide to the school day!
