OTSCON lost a member of our team, Dan Ahrens last week. We have been in touch with his family in Michigan regarding arrangements, etc. Most of our team doesn't know that when we lose a team member, OTSCON provides the family with 1 month's salary to help with all the funeral expenses. I received an email today with the information about the funeral and a link that all his friends here can share memories. Here is the email from his sister, Connie Ahrens: "Thank you for the... banking information and for the additional funds provided by Otscon to assist us with the burial expenses. Your thoughts and well wishes to Dan's family are greatly appreciated. I will get to your other questions early next week. Dan's family has decided to bury him close to family in Michigan. As we have been making arrangements we discovered he will be buried less than 100 feet from where his brother will be buried when he dies and equal distance from his great grandmother. We hope he will be happy there. Due to the COVID-19 precautions the only service we will be holding will be on Friday, July 31, 2020, with immediate family only in attendance. The services will be at the gravesite in Irving Township, Barry County, Michigan. If anyone at Otscon would like to share memories they do so by going to the following web site. https://obits.mlive.com/obituari/grandrapids/obituary.aspx Again, thank you for your care while we deal with such an unexpected event. Your thoughtfulness has been greatly appreciated.

May 22, 2020 Well, the day is finally on the Horizon, OTSCON Production employees will be returning on Tuesday, May 26th! and I couldn’t be happier to see all my amazing coworkers again. We will just be working one shift (6AM-2:30PM) as Production numbers are very low. Unfortunately we will not be able to bring any of our temporary staff back yet, due to those low numbers but will keep your services undated regularly. And, they say good things are worth the wait, so our Stamping and Injection Mold team members will be returning on Monday, June 1st to allow us to get you some empty totes to put your parts in. But the good news is you will still be getting Monday, May 25 Holiday pay. I am looking forward to seeing you all very soon!! Have a great and safe Memorial Day Holiday!
