Keeping this bitterly cold weather light hearted, but in all seriousness, it is so hard on livestock. We’re fortunate that the ladies are still laying around 20 dozen eggs a day! The Orta Brothers may be back in school, but they’re still working hard at their egg business! They have a system down where the oldest does chores before school (he has football after school) and the younger ones do them after (then mama fills in during the day). They’re also working at cutting sunflower heads that will be dried and sold for birdseed starting in November! Let us know if you’d like a delivery. They also keep a fridge in The Barn on Hickory stocked with eggs! Thank you all for your continued support!
