Due to Coronavirus we will be shutting down the application process till April 1st.

With our crane certification program OECP (Operating Engineers Certification Program), you must have 1000 hours of crane related hours. You also need to fill out the application to get accepted to the OECP. The next step is to complete the written test, we highly recommend attending our crane refresher classes (next one March 7-8). This really seems to help our members prepare for the exam. You can do the written exam on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after you pass the written exam.... You may take the practical exam on Wednesdays. If you want to schedule both the written and practical in one day, that takes extra planning but we can now make that happen as well. The cost is $165.00 for the written exam and $50.00 for your first crane piece, $10.00 each additional crane. If you have any questions please call our apprenticeship office at 816-640-2336.
