Old 71 Speedway

Due to the last few days of rain and winter weather we will need to reschedule the hiring fair until next Sunday the 17 from 1pm-3pm. It’s just way to muddy to get any vehicles on the property for parking and such. Sorry for the inconvenience. Again all positions are open and we look forward to seeing everyone interested next Sunday the 17th

Let's see some winter builds. Something positive would be nice with all that's happening in the world. I will start, we are still waiting on the Scott's performance crate to get back from Georgia

Just a reminder we may have a little later start times than most to give plenty of time to get here, but also remember we will have a time limit in place for the features. We like racing as much as anyone but also don't like late night travels as well. USRA and Powri sanctioned for Friday night racing

We are still looking for a Class Sponsor for the Late Models. If you are interested please let us know. If you are wanting to advertise with us here at Old 71 Speedway for the 2021 year please get with us. We have a great offer for you if you choose to do so in the next couple weeks. We are working on getting all of our promotional pieces done ASAP and want to be sure to get everyone on there.

We suggest you look up Hillbilly Speedway on you tube so you have an idea of what this will be. Guys and gals this is to be for fun, no one I promise is getting called by Joe Gibbs on Monday. Bring a lawn chair, we plan to let spectators park on the backstretch and corners of the big track to stay warm. $20 for a racer $10 for spectators and that $10 will get you in the pits or grandstands.... Limited concession available, bring a grill, cooler just no glass bottles. Remember this is to be fun absolutely no fighting , again this is to have a good time and be stress free See more

Again on non race days you don’t need to be at the race track unless you contact Jerry Brown. There’s no need for you to be there, from here on out the Bates C...ounty Sheriff will be called and trespassing charges will be filed. Absolutely no reason to be there. Bundle up and come watch these guys. Reminder $20 for a driver. Cars can have 1 rider at this point. $10 gets you anywhere in the property this goes for ages 5 and up.... We are on for tonight so bundle up and come on out for some good racing

Reminder No registration fees just pit passes for racers. Every one is $30 in the pits. Zero fighting it will not be tolerated. Bates County Sheriff will be here with deputies so if anything takes place you will get a free ride to jail. This is a place to have family fun, be courteous to thy neighbors. With area tracks canceled we very well will have fans from different venues here it is ok they as well as you cheer for your favorite racer. Seating is limited you may bring a ...chair in. Be patient and remember this is a supposed to be fun there’s little eyes and ears everywhere looking upon us to set a good example of sportsmanship. It’s 50/50 night for shop with a cop. This is a great cause for kids in the area. We don’t have MyRacePass so be alert on the lineups, we do our best to call classes but sometimes employees are pulled to help in different areas. The lineups will be posted at the Pit Shack at the top of the hill on the south side of the grandstands. See more
