Good evening Oak Grove families! There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow Wednesday, February 2nd. This will be a traditional snow day with no AMI. As of today, the last day of school will still be May 13th.

Due to forecasted wind chills in combination with declining attendance and increasing illnesses, the Oak Grove R-VI School District will be closed Thursday, January 20th, and Friday, January 21st. There will be no AMI or remote learning. This will not affect the current last day of school which is Friday, May 13th. While we have attended school previously with these same wind chills, when considered along with our increasing illness numbers, declining staff attendance, bus,... and foodservice we are hoping this gives families and staff time to recover and return to learning on Monday, January 24th. Activities will be evaluated and communicated through coaches, sponsors, and the activities department. Thank you for your continued support.

The Oak Grove R-VI School District Board of Education is pleased to announce their selection of Mrs. Mindy Hampton to serve as the district’s next Superintendent. The Board members unanimously approved Mrs. Hampton’s contract in their regular board meeting this week. 5-16-2021 Dear Oak Grove Families, On Friday, Jackson County announced the expiration of the public health order, including removing the mask mandate county wide. The Oak Grove School District will follow this order and will no longer require face coverings effective immediately. Masks will be optional for students and staff regardless of age or vaccination status.... Please note, the CDC on Saturday and Jackson County strongly recommend face coverings for students and all those not fully vaccinated. You may decide what is best for you and your family. While mask restrictions have lifted, other preventative measures remain in effect. Individuals not fully vaccinated who are identified as a close contact will still be required to quarantine a full 14 days. Please keep in mind that although the mask mandate is lifted, masks are optional. We will continue to monitor the current health statistics within the district and may make adjustments to our requirements and recommendations as needed.
