Staff Spotlight Saturday... OPRD is excited to spotlight Bobbie Berger! She is the Clubhouse Manager for Owensville Parks & Recreation Department Golf Course. S...he began working for the department in June 2015 after retiring from Three Rivers Electric in 2014 after 40 years. She is tasked with organizing all golf course operations and services. Her favorite time of the year at the course is spring because it is coming alive and golfers are excited to get back out and hit the fairways. Her hobbies include traveling, decorating and fishing. Fun fact: She can out fish her hubby (Dennis) any day of the week! Be sure to say hello when you see her at the clubhouse this spring!

OPRD rang in the new year with the winter storm. It brought some winter beauty with a touch of destruction. Staff are working hard to complete the clean-up.

Staff Spotlight Saturday... OPRD is excited to welcome Rick Larson to the team! He began working for the department in September as the Lead Greenskeeper at Owe...nsville Parks & Recreation Department Golf Course. He is tasked with keeping the course beautiful and ready for play. Rick has been an area resident for nearly 35 years. Before he began working for the department, he had enjoyed retirement for 16 years. He says his favorite part of the job so far, is the people he works with and seeing results at the end of the day. He’s excited for spring to see everything turn green and come alive. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and golfing. The department would like to officially introduce Rick to the community and visitors. Be sure to say hello when you see him!
