Message from the Oral Facial Surgery Institute: Dear Colleagues & Friends: It is our pleasure to announce that the Oral Facial Surgical Institute has been purchased by Dr. Damian Findlay and Dr. Gregory Tentindo from Dr. Michael Noble. Dr. Noble has been a staple in the oral surgery community for over 20 years. In addition to running a successful private practice, he also served this community as Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and as Director of the T...MJ/Trauma surgery fellowship at Mercy Hospital. Drs. Tentindo and Findlay are both dual degree and fellowship trained oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Both doctors were former fellows that trained under Dr. Noble. In addition to maintaining busy surgical schedules, both Drs. Findlay and Tentindo serve in the capacities of Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Mercy Hospital and Director of the Trauma/TMJ surgical fellowship respectively. To ensure a seamless transition with the practice, Dr. Noble will be staying on in the capacity of associate surgeon until 2023 while transitioning to his private practice in Belleville, Illinois. Dr. Patrick Morris, one of our most experienced and talented surgeons, will continue to treat patients in our private practice and serve as clinical attending to our fellows. We are excited and look forward to garnering the professional relationships that Dr. Noble has formed over the years. We will work diligently so that you remain confident that your patients will continue to receive exemplary care at Oral Facial Surgical Institute. First he was shadowing the surgical assistants, Kristen & Cori, but he quickly realized that he didn’t have the stomach for surgery!! As the Division Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Mercy Hospital, I have been also able to witness firsthand the overwhelming impact on our healthcare system. I too am sympathetic to the lives lost, jobs lost, and the burden on our economy. Like many others, I am yearning to get back to some semblance of normalcy. With that being said, yesterday I... received the first dose of the vaccine. I understand those that are skeptical to receive the vaccine. I only ask that in deciding whether or not to receive the vaccine that your decision is based on reading unbiased information (e.g.- health departments, CDC, NIH). Look who’s a patient today!!! Ol’ Oscar the Elf, just found out he needs his wisdom teeth removed. No wonder he’s been complaining of tooth pain this morning. Too bad he didn’t take care of getting those wisdom teeth out when he was still in school. We recommend that our patients remove their wisdom teeth while in high school, before they might cause them problems. Apparently, Oscar didn’t take that advice! Tracy & Cori are trying to keep him calm before the procedure starts!
