Our lesson was on GRACE last night.

I borrowed this off the MO CR page. When we go through our depression/stressful times, We can often look at our circumstances and logically understand Christ was forsaken, but quickly tell ourselves yeah, but he was God.... For most of us, we feel as though God is waiting for us to get it together and get out of this time of depression. This is because we hear it from other people who are trying to fix us, offering solutions, or oversimplifying the problem (just read your Bible more/pray every day). People are uncomfortable with pain, and instead of sitting with us in this season, they try to take it away or gloss over it. Sometimes, the truth is that it can’t be taken away by simple measures. We know that even Jesus had to experience the pain of the cross, separation from the Father, and betrayal by his closest friends. The thing we are so often apt to forget is that during this season, Jesus doesn’t offer condemnation or judgment. He offers sympathy. (Now isn't that a concept?) Because Jesus is comfortable entering into the hurt, whereas others are not, he’s the one who can sit with you in it, sympathize, and help you process. The book of Hebrews reminds us that Christ also took on flesh and feels empathy for our weakness because he experienced it as well. The Psalms remind us that he’s not waiting for us to get it together, or doling out consequences as a result. (Amen)? His great and steadfast love helps remind us that we are not our hurt, our past, or our sins. We are beloved sons and daughters. Today, think through the emotions you’re feeling and focus on the fact that Jesus felt many of the same things, and himself was tempted to give up. As you dwell on that thought, ask God what he feels about what You’re feeling. He really does care. Amen?

Recovery is available for all people, not just some. The broken places in our lives childhood pain, family hurt, addiction, habits and hang-ups we simply can’...t kick are the very places God can do His finest work. People from diverse backgrounds may believe that Celebrate Recovery is not a safe space to find healing and freedom. Maybe you presume, Those aren’t my people. Just as this tree looks, some people are ...but in the spring it will bloom...consider that....we are each in a season of life. Praying now for those who as re... slipping back to bad substances, over drinking and over eating. Some of us need to hold back judgment and be only responsible for ourselves. But we can pray right? Heavenly Father please help those who need it. Hallelujah and thank you Jesus for your deliverance and healing power! With God all is possible to those who believe. They brought balloons to a school. One was given to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professors the...n mixed all the balloons. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon. At that point the professors told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon. The professors said to the students: These ballons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness... we'll find ours too."

Good afternoon!!!!!! There are a few service projects that you might be interested in helping with. 1. There will be an Adopt-A-Highway clean-up day soon. Keep watching the CR emails or this page to find out the day and time.... 2. Nursing Home Care packages. FBS WMU, CR Ladies and a current ladies bible study group will be filling "JOY BAGS" and "JOY BOXES" for the residents at our local nursing home that are struggling because of this pandemic. Any small items that can be useful to the residents can be brought to the next CR meeting or dropped off at the church. Cards (homemade or bought) of encouragement, pictures that you have colored. No food of any kind. Many are on food restrictions. If you know someone that is the nursing home and would to make sure they receive some JOY, contact Patty and she will put their name on a list. We have been told by many that the residents feel isolated and very forgotten and alone. One lady described it as it felt like a concentration camp. Thank you!!!!!
