We love getting our students involved in service projects and volunteering at Oakhill! For our first school-wide service project, our students collected toys and made cards for the patients at Children's Mercy and made cards for the patients at Research Hospital. A HUGE thank you to the Oakhill community for stepping up and donating over 350 toys! The staff at Children's Mercy was incredibly appreciative, and we know the kids were too!

Meet Delaney Zimmerman! Delaney traveled from Boise, ID, to take on the Learning Specialist position at Oakhill. Since 2014, Delaney has worked in primary and special education and has a background in psychology. Meet George Ferris, our new middle school social studies teacher! George made his way to Oakhill with stop-overs teaching in Oahu, HI and Florida along the way. Having taught middle school social studies and English for the past 10-years, George is thrilled with the effort and work ethic that he's seen in his ODS students so far. The level of deep understanding in his 6-8th grade students has allowed George the ability to ramp up the rigor and has made teaching so much fun!
