Well just had to save this buck for last. Zach had several encounters with him while here bow hunting before gun season. The last day he was here it all came together that morning with some assistance from Black Widow Deer Lures. We hung two scent sticks just down from the stand so they’d drift through the edge of a thick bedding area. We used XXX and Dominator as we knew this big boy was in the area. We’ve had 4 years of trail camera pictures of this guy and he’s always ...disappeared from everyone’s radar right after shedding velvet. No sightings by hunters, no other trail camera pictures, or sheds until last year. I found one shed in early March right after my son was born. I scoured all around the farm to find the other side and never could find it. It did put together a hypothesis on where I thought he lived during the hunting season. We had a hunter see him the week before Zach put an arrow in him and the day they flew in I spotted him bedded with a doe while they were cutting beans. Zach saw him one of his first sits and we saw him while walking into another stand chase a doe out by us. He had two more encounters and then the magical morning happened. See more

Hunter got it done this morning on the last day. He couldn’t let grandpa top him.

Two more bucks took a dirt nap this afternoon.

A couple of old Missouri battlers went down tonite to the MS boys.

An old stud bit the bean dust tonite!!! Gotta love Black Widow Deer Lures XXX. Charlie misted it this afternoon on an all day set and put the hammer down!
