Claim your winning bid items on June 11 from 6-7 pm and pick up a delicious BBQ meal prepared by award-winning chef, Cory Booz. Order meals on our website for $20. This year our Fund-a-Need is lawn mowing for seniors who cannot care for their lawns as they would like and as required by ordinance. Mowing lawns is one way NSC enables seniors to remain in their homes longer!

KCMO EMERGENCY RENT & UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM is in place to apply new relief with the $14.8 million assistance fund that was provided by the second congressional COVID-19 relief package! Meet our hard-working Jazzin’ in June committee members who have been busy soliciting outstanding auction items for NSC’s online auction June 3-7. Reta Gaebler, front middle in black, is our chair. NSC thanks all committee members for their time and dedication to make this event a huge success.

Come join us on Thursday, June 3rd, at 2:00 PM, here at Northland Shepherd’s Center, for an informational Volunteers Meeting to hear about our NEW TECH Connect (PC Lab and Training) Center. The Center will require volunteers to keep it open and supportive of our clients. We serve the senior population in a big part of the Northland. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the PC lab, training, monitoring, social media, etc! If you are already an NSC volunteer, we welcome you to yet another area to share your skills! Grateful and Blessed The Northland Shepherd’s Center is so Grateful for the support from Clay County Senior Serivces. The year end community grant of $20,000.00 to finish the electrical and other items in our kitchen plus the $5,000.00 for our Home delivered Meals on Wheels program is very much appreciated.

Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Together We Care, caregiver support group, since 2015 continues to support The Walk to End Alzheimer's by having a team. This year the walk to... end Alzheimer’s is on October 10, 2020. Please come and walk with us and/or help us to find donors to support research focused on combating this dreaded disease. Together We Care Support Group was formed by Northland Shepherd's Center and Tri-County Mental Health as a joint effort to offer support to those caring for older adult loved ones in the Kansas City northland. NOTE: Due to Covid19 the Alzheimer’s Association has determined there will be no area group walk. Online ceremonies will mark the celebration and a Promise Flower garden will be viewable at the walk location.
