BEST OF AMERICA BY HORSEBACK Join us for a weekend of fun at North Fork River Ranch as we host Best of America by Horseback July 16-18. There will be plenty of... horseback riding and filming, campfire singing, good food and even a clinician. The husband and wife team of DJ and Trisha Shields will be doing an Open Demonstration Clinic and be available for private sessions with individual horses and/or riders. Our pricing for RV sites and stalls are the same as always. Contact me (Ed) for fees to participate in the televised ride and the dinner. You do not have to be staying here to participate in the ride or dinner. Haul ins are welcome with current coggins and health papers (for out of state horses). We have an exciting year in the making and reservations are already coming in for Spring, Summer and even Fall dates. This year we will be offering a continental breakfast in the lodge on weekends (and weekdays when needed). There is not a specific charge for this since some folks may just want to grab a sweet roll and coffee and some may want to eat enough to hold them all the way to dinner! There will be a donation jar at the head of the line to help offset the cost, but there is no obligation on your part. You can even add a buck or two to your bill at checkout if it is easier. DAY RIDERS!!! The Annual Day Rider Passes are now on sale at the North Fork River Ranch office or by calling us at 417-469-2267. The passes allow for day riding as many time as you wish during 2021. Normal day rider fee is $10/horse/day. The passes are $100 per person with a special deal of $150/couple (husband, wife, significant other, etc.) Riders under 16 y.o. may ride free if accompanied by an annual pass holder. Bring the family and enjoy our beautiful trails all year next year..

What a great year of revitalizing the ranch in spite of all of the restrictions and obstacles presented by 2020. A huge THANK YOU is sent out to past customers who came to give us a chance to prove ourselves under the new ownership and management and to all of those who chose to visit for the first time. This year is fast drawing to a close and it is time to start planning for next year. We are anticipating much bigger and better for the coming year and reservations for the... popular campsites and dates probably need to be considered soon. We would love to have your groups on site next year. We will do our very best to meet any of your needs for lodge events, special rides, contests or whatever. We realize that there is a lot of planning on your part that goes into your group events and it is our goal to make the whole event as special as possible to each and every participant. Join us at the Ranch for dinner the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/28). We are furnishing the turkey, ham and mashed potatoes. Bring a side or maybe a dessert and enjoy a great meal and good company in the lodge about 5:30. Weather permitting we will also have a trail ride during the day. The brush has died back and the view thru the forest is amazing. A little Holiday Karaoke after dinner in the lodge will definitely help to kick off the season. This coming weekend is going to be as close to perfect as anyone could ask for in November. Come and join us for a guided ride on the new Terry Carroll Memorial Trail, just established this year, heading out about 9:00, Registration will also begin at 8:30 for the Back Country Horsemen Competitive Scavenger Hunt. (See Below for details). Reservations are still available or come and dayride with us. Competitive Scavenger Hunt Oct 31, 2020 Find as many of the 25 listed it...ems by 3 pm and turn in your sheet at the lodge. $5.00 entry fee is a fund-raiser for the Ridge Runner Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen. 50% of the Pot will be split between 1st 2nd, 3rd places, with 1st place getting 25%, 2nd place wins 15% and 3rd place wins 10%. Items on the list will be found on the NFRR and must be brought to lodge as proof. Some items may be too large so be prepared to take a picture of it with some manner of identifying that you found it. (Selfies with the item are good. Group selfies can work to share the finding.) Registration will start at 8:30 am at the lodge at the RR BCH table. See more
