Some good news!!! Under the coronavirus relief CARES package, this year you can take up to a $300 tax deduction for cash donations to 501c3 nonprofit organizations on your Federal Tax Return, and this is in addition to MO Tax Credits. Normally, this kind of deduction is only available if you itemize your deductions, but this year you can opt for the standard deduction and still be able to get this particular charitable $300 deduction.
