Board of Education Election Notice: The North Callaway R-1 School District will accept declarations of candidacy from any qualified person interested in running for a position on the School Board of Education in the April 6, 2021, election. Persons interested may file at the North Callaway Central Office, 2690 Thunderbird Drive, Kingdom City, MO 65262.... Filing will begin December 15, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district's business hours. The North Callaway Central Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note hours are subject to change. Filing will not occur on days the school district's offices are closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the district’s holiday break when the North Callaway Central Office is closed: December 22, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. on January 5, 2021. In the case of a school district Covid-19 related closure, filing appointments can be made via email at [email protected] or [email protected] and will be conducted with state, county, or district safety mandates and precautions in place. Filing will end on January 26, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. There will be one item on the ballot this year. (2) two positions will be available, each with a (3) three-year term.

North Callaway teamed with the Baylor University Collaborative on Hunter and Poverty (BCHP) along with the USDA and key public and private organizations to provide meals to 53 district families with 106 children. More information is included in the press release pictured below.
American Education Week began in 1921 as a joint venture between the National Education Association and the American Legion as a means to generate public support for education in the wake of World War I. It remains an important occasion for celebrating and recognizing the important role public education plays in our society and to thank our staff for their outstanding work.
