New Melle Community Passion Play

Due to the new mandate of groups of 50 or more, we are sad to announce that the Passion Play has been cancelled for this year. Join us March 20, 2021! In the meantime, give a read to the story of Christ's passion in the Gospels, and remember what He told His disciples in John 14: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.

Although we are sorely missing our audiences this year, we are still with you in spirit as we celebrate the Easter story. Today is Palm Sunday! We hope you are finding health and happiness at the beginning of this Holy Week.

We are getting closer. If you have seen this particular scene in the play, you know it is a stand out line, and a moment of pure angst and emotion. We love being able to fully immerse the audience into an emotional level of their faith. Feeling the compassion and empathy for Jesus in that moment is powerful. ...
