Today, Mrs. Campbell’s cooking class learned how to make fudge topping for their ice cream!

Attention 8th graders: Ms. Martin would like to remind you to pick up your Colonial Buildings by the end of next week so she can prepare her classroom for the custodians to begin cleaning.

Through a thoughtful collaboration between the City of Newburg and Newburg Schools, there is a new sign when you arrive in town. Mrs. Guffey and her art students did the beautiful painting while Karl Doerr and Dave Willis worked with the city maintenance crew to trim out the sign and hang it on the straightened posts.

Newburg R-II is seeking a qualified person to serve as the district's IT Director. Newburg is a One-to-One school district in grades 6-12 and manages classroom sets of Chromebooks in the other grades and classrooms. We also use a variety of devices. The technology director will be the main contact on our new student records system for support, maintains our security system, and assists with all technology needs. The technology director maintains and updates the district websi...te along with several other duties. The district has a part-time IT Specialist to help support this position. Strong communication skills, database management, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills are preferred. Our district has approximately 400 students in grades PreK-12, and is located ten minutes from Rolla. This is a 252 day position with paid health, vacation, life insurance, and retirement. Terry Millburg, Jade Hamby, and Harper Gaddy were our first three recipients of Summer Journey’s prizes. Their teachers nominated them for their good character, manners, and respect for others.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Masonic Lodge and Brian Stephenson, we were able to surprise 1st through 5th grade with ice cream and popsicles during our AR Reading field trip.

The Newburg Wolves came away with two all-state finishes at the Missouri Class 1 State Championships, held Saturday, May 22 at Adkins Stadium.

Thanks to a grant through Phelps County Child Advocacy Network, children in our community will have the opportunity to be a part of this fun, after school program!
