CAP recognizes black history month by honoring Tuskegee Airman, Franklin Macon. Macon began his flying career with the Civil Air Patrol. Just a week before hi...s death in November, he was presented a replica of the CAP Congressional Gold Medal for his membership in Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol during World War II, adding to his Tuskegee Airmen Congressional Gold Medal.
