As the teams take to the court this week to tip off the 2020-2021 season, we extend best wishes to each and every team, their athletes and coaches for an awesome season. We regret we won't get to see you at Holiday Hoops 2020 but want to wish you the very best of luck throughout the season! Have fun and make lasting memories!

It is with regrets that we announce the cancellation of High School Holiday Hoops 2020. As a result of that announcement, there will be no scholarships awarded this year from the Doug Harper Memorial Scholarship Fund. The criteria for the Harper scholarships requires applicants to have been participants of Holiday Hoops during the senior year of the applicants. The Harper family has chosen to allow the scholarship fund to continue to grow and to make awards in 2021 follo...wing next year's Holiday Hoops. Thanks to those who have contributed to the Doug Harper Memorial Scholarship Fund through The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri and contributions are always welcome as we continue to honor this tremendous supporter and "honorary voice" of High School Holiday Hoops. HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY HOOPS 2020 CANCELLED! It is with much regret that we announce the cancellation of Holiday Hoops 2020. With the increase in COVID cases in Grundy and adjoining counties coupled with growing cases in communities across Missouri and Iowa where contracted teams are scheduled to participate, the Holiday Hoops Steering Committee voted last night to cancel the 2020 edition. Over 100 teams from 55 Missouri and Iowa High Schools were scheduled to participate in the 16th Annual Holiday Hoops on the Campus of North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Officials regret that this decision had to be made but felt concerned about safety for student/athletes, coaches, officials and fans. Already looking forward to 2021 and thanks to all for your support and cooperation.

The Cameron Dragons return to High School Holiday Hoops and bring a long history of participation in our event. Matt Wenck and Kristy Stover are the Activity Directors at Cameron High School and new coach, Mark Gordon joins Coach Wenck as play callers at CHS. We welcome the Dragons back to Holiday Hoops 2020/

The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri is humbled to announce the establishment of the Howie Lynch Memorial Fund. Many coaches, game officials, athletes and friends of the Lynch family have asked about a memorial fund to honor Howie. Michelle Lynch and her family and friends have created this fund to benefit the Ebbe Sports Complex in Trenton. Hundreds of individuals have enjoyed the Ebbe Sports Complex and will for many, many years to come. It was always a wi...sh of Howie's to construct a permanent concession stand at the Ebbe Sports Complex and that is what the fund is created to do. Howie lost a long battle with cancer earlier this summer and the memorials received at that time will be added to this newly created fund. A former coach, player, promoter and parent of four daughters have all enjoyed the Ebbe Sports Complex and hope to see his vision become a reality. Memorial contributions may be mailed to The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri at 1006 W St. Maartens Drive, St. Joseph MO 64506. It's November and that means BASKETBALL! And that also means, High School Holiday Hoops.....mark your calendars for the 16th Annual High School Holiday Hoops on the Campus of North Central Missouri College - tipping off on December 18th with play continuing on Dec 19, Dec 21-22-23 and ending with four more days Dec 28-29-30 and 31st. Plans are still on schedule for this year's event and we know it will be a big one! Good luck to all teams and coaches as practice begins this week!

Welcome the return of the Northland Christian Trailblazers for the second consecutive year of High School Holiday Hoops. And we are excited to welcome the ladies of Northland Christian this year along with their fellas. We appreciate the cooperation of Eric Montgomery, AD and welcome their coaches - Anthony Richardson and Chad Brown. See you in December, Trailblazers!
