Novel idea and vast improvement after four years of Betsy Devos and her schools are businesses idiocy.
I know that people have mixed feelings about learning pods---safety, social class and racial implications, etc---, but since my guess is that in-person school won't resume until August 2021, they're certainly worth learning about. Below are a number of links to articles that discuss the pros and cons of pods. Finally got around to emptying out the trunk. Seems like a fitting epilogue to the campaign!
Interesting. https://www.nytimes.com//po/nice-white-parents-serial.html
"Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven said that even though Missouri has allocated $10 million from the CARES Act to create assessments to make up for COVID-19 learning losses, it will be up to local communities to put the pressure on school boards to create rigorous, remote learning opportunities for students." Having created remote learning opportunities for students during Covid myself, I can tell you that it's really hard. Accordingly, I'd urge everybody who is concerned to share your thoughts or ideas with the school board so that they can craft and then implement the best possible remote learning opportunities for Clayton students so that our community is prepared for whatever the coming school has in store. https://www.ksdk.com//63-aef8b49f-c64d-4831-95cf-476a41305
