Governor Parson issued a Social distancing order which takes effect on March 23, 2020 and runs through April 6, 2020. This order simply contains social distancing guidelines applicable to all people in the state of Missouri. Specifically, this order requires individuals who are residents of Missouri to: - Avoid social gatherings of ten or more people in a single space at a single time; - Avoid eating and drinking at restaurants, bars, or food courts (drive-thru, pickup, and d...elivery allowed); and - Not visit nursing homes, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, or assisted living homes unless to provide critical assistance In addition, this order provides that schools inside the state of Missouri shall stay closed. Governor Parson’s order made it clear that in places that remain open, individuals still have to adhere to the social distancing guidelines such as maintaining six feet of distance between yourself and another, practicing good hygiene, and, where feasible, work from home.
